Nicky Forster says he can't defend recent Dover Athletic performances

Nicky Forster faces one of the biggest tests of his
managerial career over the Easter weekend as he tries to revive
Dover Athletic’s flagging Blue Square Bet South play-off hopes.
The outcome of tough matches at in-form Tonbridge Angels on
Saturday followed by a home clash with fourth-placed Sutton United
on Easter Monday will go a long way to deciding where Whites
finish.
And Forster must now find a way to lift his side after three
successive home defeats in the space of seven days.
Whites’ sudden loss of form is all the more surprising after
their run of four away games without defeat last month and Forster
made no attempt to offer any excuses after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by
Boreham Wood, saying: "In the last three games we’ve undone all the
good work we had put in.
"I can’t defend the performances over the last seven days and I
don’t want to. The fans were cheering us at the start of the game,
but they were booing and heckling us by the end and I can’t blame
them."
"There were two or three good-ish performances (against Boreham
Wood) but there were too many which weren’t good enough, we
now have 22 lads playing for their futures."
Two former Dover players, Frannie Collin and Lee Browning are
set to line-up for Tonbridge on Saturday, however Olly Schulz, who
only joined the Angels last month, will not be playing as part of
the agreement when he left Dover.
Whites left-back Tom Wynter could be missing after coming off at
half-time last Saturday with a knee injury, but one bright spot was
that striker Terry Dixon was able to play a full 90 minutes.
