Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster forced to play a waiting game

Dover Athletic manager Nicky
Forster is preparing his players for a match this weekend which he
knows is unlikely to go ahead.
Whites are due to play Truro
City away but the Cornish crisis club have been told they will be
kicked out of the Blue Square Bet South if they fail to convince
the Conference of takeover plans by today (Thursday).
Truro are in administration
after running up six-figure debts since their former chairman Kevin
Heaney, who helped bankroll five promotions in six seasons,
withdrew his backing.
Dover, of course, know all
about financial crisis in their recent history but any sympathy
there may be for Truro’s plight will be diluted by the fact the
situation is causing Forster some extra unwanted headaches
following last Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat at home to
Bromley.
Forster (pictured) feels the
Conference should be making their decision earlier, saying: "It’s a
little bit unfair on us but what do we do? Do we book hotels and
travel arrangements on the basis of them (the Conference) making a
decision on Thursday? It’s something that’s totally out of our
hands."
And a blank weekend would be
far from ideal for Forster and his squad as they look to get last
Saturday’s performance out of their system as quickly as
possible.
