Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster left frustrated as lights go out at Crabble

Dover boss Nicky Forster denied he feels his side are ‘cursed’
at home – although he admitted to huge frustration as Tuesday
night’s game against Billericay was abandoned early on due to
floodlight failure with the Whites leading.
Dover have endured a torrid time at Crabble this season, winning
just one game of their six at home in Blue Square Bet South.
Their away form is, however, in stark contrast with 14 points
from a possible 18 in a six-game unbeaten run, which continued with
Saturday’s 1-0 success at Basingstoke Town.
On Tuesday, Forster’s side made a fast start and had gone ahead
through a Ben May penalty – his seventh goal in as many games –
before a partial floodlight failure led to the referee calling the
teams off after just 10 minutes.
Forster (pictured) said: "We started well and deserved to go a
goal up and then the lights went out.
"The referee was happy for us to continue playing while the
problem was investigated but another set flicked out and he had no
choice but to abandon the game on safety grounds.
"Of course, I am disappointed because we started so well. Our
home form has not been as strong as we would have liked."
Midfielder Steven Thompson (rib) missed out on Tuesday but could
return for Saturday’s trip to Eastbourne Borough.
