Havant & Waterlooville 1 Dover Athletic 1
Dover travelled to Havant for the second time
in four days and returned with a hard-earned point on Tuesday
The sides played for 62 minutes on Saturday
before a waterlogged pitch prompted the referee to abandon
Harry Ottaway gave Chris Kinnear's
(pictured) side the perfect start in the rearranged
clash, heading home a Daryl McMahon cross on eight minutes.
However, the goalscorer later went off with a
knee injury and Alex Grant drew Havant level seven minutes before
Dover substitute Billy Bricknell had a goal
ruled out for offside in the second half but neither side could
force a winner.
The draw leaves Dover third in Blue Square Bet
South, knowing victory at home to Dorchester on Saturday will
mathematically secure them a play-off place.
