Dover Athletic manager Chris Kinnear hoping Jeff Goulding can put former club Chelmsford to the sword
Chris Kinnear is hoping recent signing Jeff Goulding can continue his free-scoring start at Crabble when he lines-up against former club Chelmsford on Saturday.
Goulding, 29, has scored five goals in his first two games for Dover including both in Saturday's 2-2 Skrill South draw at Boreham Wood.
When he signed Goulding, Kinnear suggested the physical forward could be more use at home than he is on the road, where Dover have the second best record in the table this season.
Boss Kinnear said: “He is experienced and holds the ball up which brings other people into play. That might help us at home, when we have to break teams down.”
Kinnear admits Chelmsford could be a tougher proposition than they were when Whites beat them 4-0 in Essex in November.
He said: “We’ve scored a few away but hopefully we can do it at home.
“Chelmsford are on a decent run at the moment, though – they have picked up since we played them.”
