Why should people vote for me?
I want to bring a fresh voice to politics, but particularly, to guard against a watered-down Brexit and against a Conservative candidate voted to remain. I’m more interested in ideas and solutions than I am in career politics and this election gives you, through me, a voice to present new approaches.

Fun fact:
I’m not sure there are any funny facts about me though many years ago I was a professional musician and had people like George Harrison and Billy Preston actually in my audience. I don’t recall if they actually stood up and applauded.

Why should people vote for me?
It’s been the biggest privilege to represent the area where I was born, educated, and where I have lived my whole live. If elected I will continue to build on my record of standing up for local families and our community. I have worked to secure investment in infrastructure, education and health, in the last 2 years, while also standing up for the rights of Children and social care in key legislation.

Our area is growing and we need a strong local voice to challenge and fight for what we need as we see change across our towns. My priorities are to work to deliver stronger community healthcare services to overcome current pressures and plan for the future. Deliver Infrastructure fit for a growing Medway, building on the growth seen in our local economy. With great opportunities ahead as we leave the EU and it’s important that we have a strong representative to make Brexit work for everyone.

Fun fact:
I love singing and whilst on holiday in Australia my friend pushed me to take part in a karaoke competition as a 19 year old, which I won singing “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes.

Primerose Chiguri is a practising Solicitor. She lives in Rochester and understands the issues in the constituency. She is running as an independent candidate because she wants to serve Rochester and Strood constituents without being restricted along party lines. Her goal is to put people first before party politics.

Why should people vote for me?
An active peace and climate change campaigner, my beliefs have been strengthened by embracing Green politics, particularly the promotion of a sustainable Green economy. I want to see our public services protected, our young people supported, and our housing crisis averted in a way that still protects our natural environment.

Fun fact:
A memory of the last election is hearing of a Tory poster having eggs repeatedly thrown at it. The house owner got so fed up they put a Green Party poster over it – that remained egg-free!

If you believe in change, then vote for me and the Christian Peoples Alliance. We stand for Brexit, improvement of core Christian values in schools and services in the maritime hospital. All Christians should have a voice in the affairs of Great Britain. MAKE A DIFFERENCE DON’T WASTE YOUR VOTE!

Fun fact:
Funny fact is that I can sleep anywhere even if you put me in water! I can even sleep whilst eating!

Why should people vote for me?
I was born in an NHS hospital and educated in a local school so most of what I know was learned there. I grew up with the help of a network of social organisations from the local council’s recreation services to police forces guarding our streets .These supportive services helped form my values. Labour’s manifesto has public services at its centre because we want you to have the support you need to thrive and develop your talents .Public services protect and nurture us so it’s important to know they will be there supporting us when we when need help;our safety net through life. That is why the constant wearing away at the great traditions of this country in education and health seem so alien to me and I am sure to most of you.

Rochester and Strood is a tolerant, resilient place with a proud history,I am an elected Councillor there now and know what our area needs, Labour policies will help the creative and hard working people who live here to realise their potential by investing in good jobs with decent wages and if you are not getting a fair deal I’ll stand up for you and your ambitions.

Fun fact:
My time keeping sometimes leaves a lot to be desired but when I do arrive I always seem to be in a much better mood than those who are waiting for me.
