The M2 is now re-open following a two car crash during this evening's rush hour.

Delays built up on the M2 after the collision involving a white Peugeot van and a red Honda Civic at 4.30pm between Faversham and Sittingbourne.

The busy stretch of road was closed after the crash emergency crews called to the scene near to junction six.

Both lanes of the coastbound carriageway were blocked and drivers on parts of the A2 near Faversham reported delays as people avoided the accident.

The road was re-opend at 6pm.
