Faversham: New pictures emerge after 4x4 crash at Oare off-road site

New pictures have emerged of a crash at an off-road driving site near Faversham.

A man, who was airlifted to a London hospital, suffered back, neck and leg injuries at a 4x4 course off Church Road in Oare yesterday morning.

He was left trapped after an off-road vehicle rolled over on top of him.

Warren Cox, who was first on the scene, said: “As a race marshal I see lots of accidents at Brands Hatch and was able to use my training to keep the driver as comfortable as possible until the emergency services arrived.

“The driver wasn’t trapped under the car - it rolled over him when he got out to look at it when he was teetered at the top of a hill. The weight change made it roll over him.

“I didn't see it happen but was first on scene.”

Ambulance crews arrived at the 25-acre site shortly before 10.30am along with a critical care paramedic and Hazardous Area Response Teams.

Police and fire crews also attended.

The man’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and no criminal offences were reported.

There are also no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
