A driver ran from the scene of a crash in Faversham.

Police cordoned off Whitstable Road for a number of hours after the two-car collision at around 6.30pm yesterday.

Officers searched the area but the man who left the accident was not found.

The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured and police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The road reopened around 8.30pm.
