Thanet Way to close between Whitstable and Faversham

The Thanet Way will be closed for up to two nights next week.

From Thursday, January 19, the busy A299 London-bound will be shut between Whitstable and Faversham while roadworks are carried out.

The work will take up to two nights and the road will be closed between 7pm and 6am between the Clapham Hill turn-off and Brenley Corner roundabout.

The coastbound carriageway will be open as usual.

The alternative route is A290 Clapham Hill, Pean Hill, Honey Hill, Blean Common, Blean Hill, Tile Kiln Hill, Whitstable Road, St Thomas Hill, Whitstable Road, London Road, London Road Roundabout, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, A2 Dover Road and Boughton Bypass.

The programme is subject to weather and other factors which may cause changes at short notice.
