Faversham man Parschal Wall jailed for stealing ex-partner's contraceptive pills

A woman's jealous ex has been jailed after he admitted stealing personal items from her - including her contraceptive pills.

Paschal Wall, of Whiting Crescent, was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Maidstone Crown Court on January 26, after he pleaded guilty to one count of burglary.

The 34-year-old was also issued with a two-year restraining order preventing him from approaching his ex-partner.

Wall and his victim, a woman in her 30s, were in a relationship and split up in 2014. Following their break-up, Wall discovered his victim was in a new relationship and contacted her repeatedly.

On July 29 last year, the victim returned to her home address in Bayford Road, Sittingbourne, and discovered her tablet computer and a lighter belonging to her new partner had been stolen.

Bizarrely, a packet of contraceptive pills had also been taken.

Three days later, officers arrested Wall. He was charged with the burglary and remanded in custody until his court appearance.

Detective Constable Neil Ireland said: "Wall concocted an insidious scheme targeting his ex-partner. He violated her privacy and the sanctity of her home, and she will be feeling the effects from his actions for months to come.

"We do not tolerate the notion of Kent residents feeling unsafe in their own homes and will work with every tool at our disposal to combat burglary and bring to justice those who believe they have the right to commit these crimes."
