Crash in Brenley Lane, Faversham leaves man injured

Fire crews rescued a man from the wreckage of his car before he was taken to hospital.

Police, paramedics and two fire engines were called to Brenley Lane, Boughton-under-Blean at around 9.45am today after a crash between a car and a lorry.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the man from the car, who was then handed into the care of the ambulance service.

A Secamb spokesman said the man's injuries were not believed to be serious but he was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The Air Ambulance attended and provided additional support but the man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Crews left the scene at around 10.20am. Police were controlling traffic in the area.
