A man was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after coming off his motorbike on the M2 near Faversham

A man suffered leg injuries after he fell off his motorbike on the M2 near Faversham yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

Police, three ambulances and fire crews were called to the scene at around 5.50pm.

Paramedics treated the man for leg injuries, before he was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Police spokesman Jon Green said: "Kent Police were called at 5.50pm to reports of a motorcyclist coming off his bike in lane two of the M2 near junction six.

"He was lying on the ground."
