Faversham hosts Wild West horse show at Willow Farm Equestrian

Faversham has been catapulted into something straight out of a John Wayne film this weekend.

Willow Farm Equestrian hosted a Western horse riding spectacular with more than 60 competitors travelling from all over the country to take part in different rodeo games.

The games included everything from flag and barrel racing to pole bending and lassoing.

Organiser Tina Bull, 50, said: "We made a whole USA-themed weekend and people have been coming from all over the country for this event, from as far away as Cornwall and Manchester.

"Everyone had a fantastic time and it didn't look as if the rain put anyone off on Friday either."

Throughout yesterday evening people could be seen holding on for dear life on the rodeo bull, enjoying hog roasts and the live band who entertained the crowds.
