FAVERSHAM Town have appointed Justin Luchford and Jimmy Strouts as their new joint management team.

The pair will take charge for the first time for tomorow's Kent League derby at Herne Bay.

Luchford has previous Kent League experience as a player and assistant manager at Hythe while Strouts has a wealth of playing experience including a spell in the Conference with Gravesend.

He played in the Kent League last season for Whitstable and is expected to take to the field against Herne Bay.

Club spokesman Tony Gray said that Faversham had received 17 applications and that Luchford and Strouts were chosen from a shortlist of five.
