Ray Turner wants Faversham Town to end season with three straight wins

Ray Turner wants his Faversham Town players to finish their Bostik South season in style.

Town have won their last two games in a row and have kept three consecutive clean sheets.

They will be looking to do something they haven’t been able to do all season in the league and win three straight matches.

To do that they must win at Molesey on the last day of the campaign.

Turner said: “I want to finish with three wins and four clean sheets.

“This league constantly shows that anyone can beat anyone on their day. It’s an opportunity on Saturday we have to take.

“We have all stepped up and refused to accept results this season. We have not earned the right to take it easy.

“It’s a good way to finish off in the league.”

Faversham toppled already promoted Lewes in their last home match of the season on Saturday.

Goals from Mobolaji Dawodu and Harry Stannard gave them a 2-0 win in front of a bumper home crowd.

Turner said: “It was right up there with one of the best this season.

“It has been a long time coming. It’s a couple of wins on the bounce now and three clean sheets in a row. We have managed to put a few things right and the boys are getting results for their performances.

“It was the biggest crowd in the league on Saturday and it was good to give the home fans something on the last game of the season.

“There’s no coincidence that we started scoring at the other end and it is very much a confidence boost. We have started to get the right balance in the side.

“Before that it was a struggle to score but it is pleasing to see the hard work over the previous few weeks starting to pay off.”

Following their game on Saturday, Faversham presented their end of season prizes to players.

Top goalscorer went to Luke Griffiths, manager’s player of the year was Danny Walder, supporters’ player of the year was Matt Bourne, while Bourne and Simon Overland shared players’ player of the year.
