Arrest after 'serious' stabbing in Folkestone

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder following a "serious" stabbing in Folkestone.

The alleged attack happened yesterday at a property in Biggins Wood Road at 4.52pm.

A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries, consistent with stab wounds, and was taken to a London hospital where his condition is improving and no longer critical, according to Kent Police.

The victim and suspect are believed to be known to each other.

A 20-year-old man from Folkestone has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He currently remains in police custody.

Officers remain in the area while they carry out inquiries into the incident.

The force will issue further updates when they are available, a police spokesman said.
