Girl of 16 assaulted in Radnor Park, Folkestone, by suspect who 'smelt of beer'

A teenage girl was pushed over in a park by a suspect who "smelt of beer," police say.

The man shoved the 16-year-old to the ground and tried to kiss her in the attack in Radnor Park, Folkestone.

The victim was walking on the footpath near the corner of the park closest to Folkestone Central Station when she was pushed from behind and fell to the ground.

A man then tried to kiss her but she managed to get up and run to safety.

It happened at 7pm on Monday, January 19, but details have only just been released.

The suspect is described as a large built man wearing thin tracksuit bottoms and other dark clothing. He was unshaven and smelt of beer.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information that may help with the investigation.
