Beach sex attack: CCTV may produce witnesses

DETECTIVES investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman on the Sunny Sands beach in Folkestone have released fresh CCTV images of people who may be able to help in the enquiry.

The victim was a 20-year-old woman. She was attacked at around 3am on Saturday, June 9, after having had a swim in the sea with a group of friends.

Earlier the woman had been in Piper’s nightclub in Folkestone's Tontine Street.

The offender is described as a white man with long blond hair. He was wearing a brown shirt.

Det Sgt Chris Benson said: “We are releasing new images of people who may be significant witnesses to this assault. I would ask anyone who recognises themselves in the image, or anyone who knows their identity, to contact me.”
