Flats in Court Place in Folkestone sealed off by police after elderly man dies

Police sealed off a block of flats in Folkestone today and launched an investigation after a man died.

Officers were called to retirement development Court Place, in Castle Hill Avenue, at shortly after 10am.

Kent Police said they were helping paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service, who were treating the man.

The man, believed to be in his 80s, died at the scene.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious."

The air ambulance was also at the scene.
