Folkestone: Driver's car seized after provisional licence expired over 30 years ago

An elderly driver has had his car seized after his provisional licence was more than 30 years out of date.

Officers from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a car in Crete Road West, Folkestone at 1pm today.

The man in his 70s who was driving the vehicle was reported for driving without a licence.

The man's license expired in 1983!

The car was seized by the officers.
