Police investigating distraction burglary in Canterbury Road, Hawkinge, release efit of suspect

Police have released an e-fit of one of the suspects in a distraction burglary in Hawkinge.

A woman aged in her 80s was in the lounge of her bungalow in Canterbury Road when she heard a noise in the next room.

A man then appeared in the doorway and claimed he was from the police and had two burglars in his car, who he said had tried to break in to her home.

A second man then appeared and stole the woman’s purse, before the two men left the bungalow.

Police would like to trace the suspect in the efit who is described as a young white man with pale skin, approximately 5ft tall and wearing a navy hooded top.

The other suspect was slightly taller and wearing a grey hooded top.
