Fallen tree blocks road and strikes telecom cables in Gate Lane, Rhodes Minnis

A road has been closed after a tree fell on BT cables during strong winds.

It happened this afternoon at Gate Lane, Rhodes Minnis.

Kent Highways said that the road has had to be closed between Stone Street and Chapel Lane.

A spokesman said: “We had sent in workers to removed the tree.”

It is not known how long it would take to clear the road.
