Firefighters rescued a trapped seagull from an aerial above a house in Folkestone this afternoon.

Using the cherry picker, teams successfully freed the bird, which has now been handed over to the RSPCA.

A fire service spokesman said: "The seagull was trapped in someone's domestic aerial and we didn't want members of the public to put themselves in danger trying to get rid of it.

"It is all resolved now and the bird is in the care of the RSPCA."
