Girls fight off man who tried to grab them in Dolphin's Road

A suspicious man who grabbed two girls in a residential street is being hunted by police.

The alleged attack happened in Dolphin's Road, Folkestone.

The suspect got out of car to speak to the girls, but when they refused to talk to him, he grabbed them.

The girls managed to fight him off and flee, before alerting police.

The man was seen driving in the direction of Wingate Road.

Both victims were unhurt in the incident, which happened at 5pm on Thursday, December 7.

Detective Constable Andrew Palmer said: "We haven’t been able to identify one of the victims and would really like to speak to her to find out more about this incident.

"She was described as being aged around 17 or 18, wearing a dress and bobble hat.

"The girls are not known to one another but had walked along the road together as it was dark.

"While incidents of this nature can be upsetting to those involved and the wider community, I would like to reassure those affected that we are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and at this time are treating it as an isolated incident."
