Investigation into death of Robert Goodey who fell from window in George Lane, Folkestone

An inquiry into the death of a man who fell from a second floor window while fleeing police has been handed back to the force for an internal investigation.

Officers were trying to arrest Robert Goodey when he exited a property through the window in George Lane, Folkestone, on March 16 at 10.30pm.

The death prompted an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which today passed back the enquiry to Kent Police’s Local Investigation Team.
