Knife-wielding robbers with a Yorkshire accent threatened a man before making off with his safe filled with cash.
The harrowing ordeal took place at a house in Folkestone on Bank Holiday Monday night.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was also threatened with a knife by the two balaclava clad raiders.
They entered his house through an open back door before stealing the safe inside the house in Risborough Lane.
The incident reportedly took place between 10.15pm and 10.40pm.
Police are now appealing for witnesses in a bid to track down the culprits.
Both men are described as being of medium build and wearing dark clothing. One reportedly spoke with a Yorkshire accent.
Officers believe the pair may have accessed the property via a courtyard leading from the Broomfield Road car park.
It is understood the robbers made their escape by foot.
