Officers from Kent Police hunting knifeman after Dover Road Post Office raid in Folkestone make arrest

Officers investigating an alleged armed robbery at a post office in Folkestone have arrested a man.

Police arrested a 50-year-old and took him in for questioning in connection with the incident yesterday morning.

A man reportedly threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash at the Dover Road Post Office at 9.25am.

But staff refused and the suspect then left the shop on foot, a police spokesman said.

The man has been remanded in custody but has not been charged.
