Two people taken to hospital after two separate crashes Densole, near Hawkinge, this morning just minutes apart

A man and a woman have been taken to hospital after two separate accidents in the same village just minutes apart this morning.

Emergency crews rushed to the first crash between a lorry and a van in Pay Street, Densole around 7.49am.

A man was taken to the William Harvey Hospital by ambulance crews after his van flipped onto his roof when it collided with the lorry at a junction.

Firefighters said the van driver was already out of his vehicle before they arrived and his injuries are not thought to be serious.

At 7.56am, more emergency vehicles rushed to another collision on the A260, Canterbury Road in Densole between a motorcycle and a car.

A female motorcyclist was also taken to the William Harvey Hospital by ambulance with suspected leg injuries.

Her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Witnesses say the main road came to a standstill with one driver tweeting that the area is a "no go zone".
