Man charged for 'driving wrong way' on M20 motorway near Folkestone

A man who allegedly drove the wrong way down a motorway has been charged with dangerous driving.

Officers from the Channel Tunnel Policing Unit stopped the vehicle on the M20 coastbound carriageway just past junction 11a on Tuesday at about 4.40pm.

Adrian Leu, a 43-year-old from Romania, was charged with dangerous driving on Wednesday.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday, and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.
