Man, 40, suffers 'multiple facial injuries' in attack in Foord Road, Folkestone

Police are hunting two men who set upon another man leaving him with serious facial injuries.

Officers said the "serious assault" happened in Foord Road near the Ship Street junction in Folkestone.

The 40-year-old victim received multiple facial injuries between 4pm and 5pm on July 1, and was treated at a nearby hospital.

Investigating officer Det Const Kirsty Gee called on eyewitnesses to come forward.

She said: "It’s been reported that a woman who was on the other side of the road shouted at the offenders during the attack.

"We would like to identify and speak to this woman as a potential witness, and we also ask for anyone else to come forward who was in the area at the time of the attack and saw something which might help our investigation."

One of the two suspects was described as having a large build and was wearing a white t-shirt.
