Folkestone: Joe Daniels pub death detectives identify man in CCTV

Police investigating the suspected murder of a pub landlord have identified a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the shooting.

Joe Daniels, 58, was found unresponsive inside the Red Cow in Foord Road, Folkestone, just before 11.30am on Wednesday, November 22 last year.

He had suffered an injury consistent with a gunshot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Yesterday, detectives released a CCTV image of a man they wanted to speak to but now say they have identified him.

They said at the time there was no suggestion the man had done anything wrong, but they needed to speak to everyone who visited the pub in the lead up to the incident.

Detective chief inspector Richard Vickery said: "Once again, we would like to thank all those people who have come forward with information so far.
