A pensioner was threatened by two masked thieves impersonating policemen who stole jewellery from her home.
The woman in her 70s was targeted by two men in the house in Folkestone early this morning.
Police were called to Radnor Park Crescent at 3.30am following a report of an aggravated burglary.
Officers are now investigating and have launched an appeal for witnesses.
The two men, described as white and wearing black clothing with their faces covered, were seen fleeing in the direction of Foord Road via Bournemouth Road and Ship Street.
They threatened her before making off with several items of jewellery, police said.
