Suspected burglar charged after string of alleged break-ins in Dover, Folkestone and Ashford

A suspected burglar has been charged following a string of alleged break-ins across east Kent.

Linchum Price, of no fixed address, was arrested in Lincolnshire on behalf of Kent Police.

The 20-year-old has been charged with conspiring to commit burglary with intent to steal.

The charge relates to multiple burglaries between February and June in Dover, Ashford and Folkestone, as well as incidents in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

There are 13 burglaries reported, with three in Kent in April.

Three took place on Thrusday, April 5, including a burglary in Park Avenue, Dover between midday and 1pm, and two burglaries in Greystones, Willesborough in Ashford between 4.37pm and 5pm.

Two days later on April 7, there was a break-in in Fremantle Road, Folkestone between 5.15pm and 5.40pm.

The accused has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link today.
