Tattoo convention to raise money for baby Winter-Rose who died suddenly

Tributes to a baby who died suddenly will be tattooed on people’s bodies in a bid to raise money for her funeral.

One-year-old Winter-Rose, who suffered from sickle cell disease, died on Thursday, March 9.

Her parents Andi and Charlotte Doherty, who live in Folkestone, were inundated with tributes.

Now friends and tattooists Ped Simmons and Jesus Godley are holding a tattoo convention on Sunday in the The Space, Old High Street, Folkestone.

The parlour will open at 10am and customers will be served on a first come, first served basis, picking from designs dedicated to Winter-Rose.

The price is £20 per tattoo but any extra donations will be welcomed.

A statement on the event page said: “Her mummy and daddy have to do the unimaginable, plan her funeral.

"Like us all, they would like to give their happy beautiful, innocent little princess the service she deserves, and we want to help them.”
