A police spokesman said they were called at 4.16pm after hearing three teenage boys had got into difficulty along the cliffs at The Warren, Folkestone.

Two of them were found by ambulance crews at the bottom of the cliffs and the third by the Coastguard.

The fire service's line rescue team from Deal climbed through head high brambles in an attempt to reach the teenager.

The two other boys were also brought to safety having made their way to the base of the cliff. They were all taken to a local hospital with cuts and bruises.

The ambulance service's specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) helped in the emergency rescue.
