Kent Police release e-fit of man wanted in connection with robbery that left woman with broken finger in Grace Hill near Rendezvous Street, Folkestone

Police are investigating after a woman suffered a broken finger in an alleged town centre daylight robbery.

Detectives today released an e-fit of a man they want to question in connection with the attack in Folkestone on Tuesday, December 9.

The victim, a woman in her 60s, is said to have been walking along Grace Hill towards Rendezvous Street in the town at 3.30pm carrying her handbag in her right hand.

She said she felt her bag being tugged hard from behind her causing her to fall backwards.

The man continued which made her fall into a parked car. As she tightened her grip on the bag, she fell backwards on to the floor where the man let go and ran towards the roundabout on Grace Hill, opposite the library.

After noticing swelling to her finger she went to hospital where an x-ray revealed it was broken.

The attacker is described as white, in his early 30s, about 5ft 8ins tall, clean shaven and wearing a tracksuit.
