Darren Molloy takes charge of Folkestone Rugby Club for the last time on Saturday and he’s backed them to win promotion without him next season.

The Stones coach is stepping down to concentrate on his teacher training qualification, having spent four years at the New Burlington Ground.

However, the former Wasps player will still be on hand to advise and occasionally coach a squad he believes can get out of London 3 South East in 2014/15.

He said: "The future looks fantastic. We’ve got to make sure these guys stay around because these are exciting times. They should be looking to go up next year.

"The players are starting to realise how good they can be. “They’re growing in confidence and inner belief and that’s worth a thousand points. A lot of these young guys have become men this season.

"They’re now dominating games and playing fantastic rugby. Some supporters have said they’ve never seen such good rugby at Folkestone and that's huge credit to the players."

Folkestone, third in London 3 South East, are away to Beccehamian in Molloy's last game.
