Neil Cugley has called on the people of Folkestone to back his team in big numbers again this weekend.

Invicta were watched by combined crowds of 1,800 over the Easter weekend and they’re back at the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.

A win against struggling Redhill would guarantee at least third place in Ryman League Division 1 South and a home semi-final in the play-offs.

Folkestone are seven points clear of fourth-placed Merstham with three games to play so a seventh consecutive home win for Cugley’s men would make that gap unassailable.

He said: "We need people to come down, watch us and get behind the lads. Hopefully, we can get another victory and achieve a home game in the play-offs.

"No disrespect to Merstham but I don’t want to go there on a Tuesday night (in the play-offs)."

Folkestone are now level on points with second-placed Faversham and if they could overhaul their Kent rivals, it would mean playing at home again if they reached the play-off final.

Cugley said: “Every game is so important now.

"We wanted to get in the play-offs first, now we want a home game and if we win our next three games, who knows? We might get second.”

Jon Pilbeam (shoulder) and Ashley Miller (groin) are both fit and Callum Wright also returns to the squad for the Redhill game.
