Folkestone teenager Euan Sahadow can follow in the footsteps of Hull's Johan ter Horst and Millwall's Harry Smith

Folkestone boss Neil Cugley believes he has another gem on his hands.

Cugley has high hopes for 16-year-old striker Euan Sahadow, who has scored four goals in his last two games for the under-18s.

He’s already been on the bench for the first team and was a second-half substitute in the League Cup defeat against Tonbridge on Tuesday night.

Invicta have seen Johan ter Horst join Hull and Harry Smith move to Millwall over the past few years and Cugley feels Sahadow has the potential to go far.

He said: “He’s a centre-forward with unbelievable energy.

“He’s more direct and bigger than Johan. I’m pleased with him. He’s done well.

“He’s only 16 but he’s around the first team on merit and one we feel can go on.

“He’s got to do it on the pitch but if he keeps learning – which he will, training with the first team all the time – then hopefully he’ll kick on.

“Sometimes young players hit a wall but I’d like to think he’ll be OK.”

Folkestone host Waltham Forest of the Essex Senior League in the FA Cup second qualifying round on Saturday (3pm), with £4,500 in prize money on offer.
