Folkestone Invicta looking to make it four straight league wins when Dorking Wanderers visit the Fullicks Stadium

Folkestone Invicta are flying and newly-promoted Dorking Wanderers stand between them and a fourth straight league win this weekend.

Having come from behind to win at Guernsey on Saturday, Neil Cugley’s team are one of only two in Ryman League Division 1 South still boasting a 100% record.

Kent rivals Herne Bay are keeping Folkestone off the top on goal difference while Saturday’s opponents are just two points behind them in third.

Cugley said: "It was important to get off to a good start. We’ve still got Hastings to play twice (in the next three weeks) so we’ve got difficult games around this time.

"If we could be there or thereabouts after the first couple of months, that would be great.

"The sooner your first win comes along, the better and to get two away wins on the board, of course it helps your momentum.

"The size and quality of our squad makes it easier for me. We had to chase the game on Saturday and we managed to turn it around."

Dorking have made a decent start to their first season at this level, winning two of their first three games and drawing the other following promotion from the Sussex League.

"We’ll find out something about them," said Cugley, who admitted the Surrey side represented something of an unknown quantity.

"They’ll be enjoying their first adventure at this level and it won’t be easy."
