Kent pensioner named as Peter Ironside from Rhodes Minnis near Folkestone found beheaded in flat in Mombassa in Kenya
A Kent pensioner has been found beheaded in an apartment in a tourist area of Mombassa in Kenya.
The victim has been named locally as Peter Ironside, from Rhodes Minnis near Folkestone.
Mr Ironside, who previously ran a plant nursery at Farthing Common, is understood to have split his time between Kent and the African country.

He was reportedly discovered in his flat with multiple machete wounds and is understood to have been decapitated.
A woman in her early 30s - reported to be Mr Ironside's girlfriend - has been arrested on suspicion of murder by Kenyan police.
Mr Ironside, who was in his 70s, is believed to have been killed on Saturday, November 30.
He is thought to have been dead in his bathroom in the port city for two weeks before being discovered.

Police found the body after neighbours raised concerns he had not been seen.
A Foreign Office spokesman said it was aware of the death of a British national in Kenya and was providing assistance to the family.
