There was comedy last night from top comedian Lee Mack, to help raise money for a little girl with cancer.

Stacey, seven, of Trafalgar Road, Gravesend, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma three years ago and underwent almost two years of treatment.

It included chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery to remove the tumour and blood transfusions.

Her family were given the devastating news in December last year that their daughter had relapsed.

The treatment she needs is neither funded by the NHS or available in the UK so a team of volunteers have been organising numerous fundraising events.

Hitting the stage at the Woodville on Wednesday night were Lee Mack, Terry Alderton, Isy Suttie, Paul Tonkinson, Ricky Grover, Jimmy Bird, Hattie Hayridge and Meopham’s very own Kerry Bilson.

She is on a research trial which has stopped the spread of the disease.

Her family say she is going in the right direction to health again.
