Woman taken to hospital after car crash in Bean

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash in Bean today.

Police were called to Sandbanks Hill to reports of a collision involving a black Honda Insight at just before 12.40pm.

The female driver was taken to a hospital in Medway to deal with her injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also at the scene.

A spokesman said: "Firefighters assisted paramedics in releasing a woman who was trapped in a car following a crash. No other vehicles were involved."

Highcross Road with the junction with Bean Lane was closed and reopened after 2pm.
