Emergency services called to shopping centre

Ambulance crews and police were called to the Thamesgate Centre in Gravesend last night.

Police were called just after 6pm to reports of a man suffering a cardiac arrest in the centre.

An ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to man to believe to be in his mid to late 60s who had collapsed suffering a cardiac arrest outside Thamesgate Shopping Centre.

"Two ambulances attended, treated and took him to Darent Valley Hospital."
