Sainsbury’s has completed its highway improvement works to create a new right turn access onto the A2 at Pepper Hill.

The new layout will begin operating tomorrow.

The new road layout has been built as part of Sainsbury’s planning permission to extend its Pepper Hill store.

Bosses say it will improve the operation of Hall Road by allowing motorists to turn right onto the A2 without first having to navigate the Springhead roundabout.

Sainsbury’s project manager David Parnell said: “I am delighted to confirm that the works are now complete.

"I would like to thank local motorists and residents for their patience whilst we have undertaken the highway improvements.

“This new layout was very much an aspiration of Kent County Council and I’m pleased that we have been able to deliver this improvement for the Pepper Hill community.”
