An electrical fault sparked a fire in the roof of a bungalow in Southfleet just after midnight on Saturday.

Insulation caught alight in the loft of the property in Brakefield Road causing smoke damage.

The occupants, a family, were inside at the time but nobody was hurt.

A crew from Thames-side dealt with the incident.
