CCTV released in investigation into alleged sexual assault on HS1 train from St Pancras

Almost five months after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a train police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for information after the attack on the HS1 service from London St Pancras to Dover Priory at 9.30pm on Tuesday, August 15.

A man, who appeared intoxicated was unknown to the 20-year-old victim, allegedly started talking to her, began making inappropriate comments to her and then moved to sit next to her.

He is then said to have attempted to kiss her while holding her hands.

The suspect left the train at Ebbsfleet International.

Detectives believe the man shown in the CCTV image may be able to help them investigate.
