Hair dresser Lee Stafford opens NKC hair salon, Lower Higham Road, Gravesend

Who better to inspire the next generation of hairdressers than a man known for cutting for the stars?

Celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford was the special guest of honour invited to open a new salon at North Kent College’s (NKC) Gravesend campus in Lower Higham Road.

He was impressed by what he found. He said: “The facilities here are fantastic and, the team here show such great energy and passion.

“It is wonderful to find like-minded people to help revolutionise the college and the training it offers.”

The Inspirations salon will be completely staffed by students, who promise to leave you feeling pampered and pretty if you call in for a haircut.

Lecturers supervise all the budding barbers as they gain valuable experience in a real salon environment and the perfect preparation for a potential career.

Mr Stafford met some of the students and posed for pictures, including with Kim Catchpole, the head of the college’s hairdressing department.

“I am extremely proud of our new facilities and look forward to showcasing the work we do here at NKC to both future students and the local community."
