Firefighters had to wear breathing gear as they tackled a blaze in Cobham.
Crews were called to a property in Lodge Lane at around 5.30pm.
It broke out in a chimney and spread to the surrounding roof area.
Two fire engines attended and the fire was out just before 7pm.
There were no reported casualties.
